Longford Updates

Longford Updates

Dear Residents and Local Businesses,

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with:

PATROLS

Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour, and our local green spaces.

We have seen a rise in anti-social behaviour in Riley Square with groups of young people. We are working with local agencies and shopkeepers to combat this local issue.

BURGLARY

We have had one residential burglary in the Longford area this week.

The residential burglary occurred between 11pm on 03/11/2026 and 2am on 04/11/2026 whereby a property on Cherrybrook Way had been broken into. No items have been taken from the property but damage was caused to a fridge-freezer within. If you may have heard or seen anything, please contact us on 101 quoting 20/460673/26.
